Chris Conley

Chris is cofounder of gravitytank and former professor of design and innovation at the Institute of Design, IIT. In the early 90's he pioneered the application of user research, prototyping and cross-disciplinary collaborative workshops for innovation projects. He continues to explore and integrate diverse disciplines to create a highly effective innovation capability. At the Institute of Design, he helped shape one of the world's first professional graduate programs of design and innovation and conducted research on bringing principles of design and creativity into business.

Chris writes, speaks and conducts workshops on the how to make organizations more effective in their innovation efforts. He has been recognized by Samsung, GE, Black & Decker, and Sony for his innovative designs and expertise in innovation. gravitytank clients include numerous Fortune 500 companies in consumer, commercial, industrial, and retail markets. gravitytank also served philanthropic organizations including the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Gates Foundation, and the Center for Care Innovation.
