About Rebecka

I'm a visionary innovation and design strategist with a background in service design, futuring and product development who helps see what's possible in elevating experiences. My personal experiences with family members in healthcare systems ignited my passion for improving healthcare and creating better experiences and processes, which is where I have focused in the last 10+ years. As a leader, I'm an approachable and people focused manager of projects who inspires cross functional collaboration and empowers others to arrive at innovative solutions.

I began my career helping build a family based 65-person manufacturing facility where I was the product development manager, creating furniture components for IKEA, Knoll and others. Since then, I've brought to market over 50 products, programs and services within healthcare, consumer goods, and/or manufacturing at Carilion Clinic, Optum, HealthCare Service Corporation, IKEA, Brammer, Baumarkt, Knoll and more. I’ve helped build and set innovation strategy at five different organizations to spur growth and directed design efforts primarily in healthcare, but also in manufacturing and consumer goods. I have solid experience in the craft of human centered design from design research through prototyping and strategy.
